Course Description
This is an intensive course delivered in Arabic and is designed for those who wish or in the process of memorising the Qur'an according to Qalun 'An Nafi' narration. The course will cover all the rules of tajweed and foundational principles of Qalun according to the Imam Al-Shatibi method. This course will not teach the articulation points of letters. At the end of the course, students will set an exam, and those who pass will receive a certificate from Irtaqi Institute.
Learning Objectives
Understand and apply the rules of tajweed specific to Qālūn ‘an Nāfiʿ, based on the students' capabilities.
Understand the foundational principles (Aṣul al-Riwāyah) according to Imām al-Shāṭibī.
Eligibility:
1- Males aged 16 and above.
2- Memorised at least one Hezb of the Qur'an.
3- Understands Arabic.
Course leader: Dr Mohamed Elsharkasi
Mode of delivery: In-person at 83 Lister St, Glasgow G4 0BZ.
Duration: Three months (two sessions per week). tbc.

Minimum attendance: 70%
Passing grade: 70%
